Why
A Baby Sling?
Using a baby sling will help
your baby develop a secure attachment to you, and provide him with a
solid foundation for healthy, enduring relationships throughout his
life.
This foundation will determine
how he perceives himself, the rest of the world, and his role in it
as he grows.
Sling babies develop a sense
of security necessary to freely explore the world in toddlerhood and
to establish his independance as he grows older.
Your baby will love being
carried around in a baby sling. Where else could he feel more secure,
more comfortable, more "right?"
Not only can he take this
sense of rightness with him through out his life, but with all of these
needs met, he can relax and use his energy for growing and watching
and learning.
Baby slings promote breastfeeding.
Nursing for busy moms is easy with baby in a sling, even on-the-go and
in public.
In situations where baby and mother had to be separated after birth,
or are separated for long periods on a daily basis, a baby sling carrier
will help heal the separated bond for mother and baby.
Baby slings for dads are
an important part of the bonding process. Dads who sling babies can
develop a much more intimate and relaxed relationship with their children.
Grandparents can use a sling for the same purpose.
Baby sling carriers are an
important part of maintaining balance in the entire familys bond.
Mom and dad can have free hands to play with older siblings while babys
needs get met.
Wearing a baby sling also
allows mom and dad to maintain a fulfilling life while meeting their
little one's needs for their availability, and allows baby to witness
and be a part of their work, errands, and social activities.
Being up where all the activity and conversation takes place is a lot
more interesting for baby than anything going on in a swing or on the
floor!
